Jessica Geneva Florence
June 20, 1993 - August 17, 2023

Eleven 19 Designs LLC would like to introduce you to an amazing woman. Her name was Jessica Florence. In 2015, Jessica discovered a lump in her breast, which initially was misdiagnosed as fibroids.

In May 2016, later she was diagnosed with stage 3A breast cancer at the young age of 22. During this time she ended up having to shave her head, underwent chemo, a mastectomy, radiation, and a bilateral reconstruction.

In May of 2017, she was free from the cancer. The journey had been a very long and emotional journey for Jessica from the moment of accepting that she had breast cancer to continuing the fight up until the end. Jessica begin to share her story, the good, bad and ugly stages of treatment, chemo and recovery. She became a major inspiration and a a public figure. She was interviewed for many online articles, magazines, and sat on numerous panels providing information and guidance as a result of experiences she incurred on her journey. Eventually her story made so much noise that she was recognized by a few celebrities and that is where she along with her family developed her on personal hashtags: #JessDoIt & #FightWithJess.

In April of 2020, she found out yet again that the cancer had returned and would now fight stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. This meant that her previous cancer had now spread to her brain. She continued to fight hard for the rest of her life. She had beat cancer 8 times, until unfortunately her cancer was deemed incurable. Even with this sad news, Jessica continued to be strong and fight while studying Architecture at Florida A&M University. She had so many supporters and unconditional love from her family and friends.

Sadly, this sweet angel spread her wings on August 17th of 2023.

We cannot stress how important it is to do self-breast checks (women AND men). Breast Cancer has a high rating with Black and Women of color.

We want everyone to be safe and enjoy their life! After Jessica's passing, her family stamped yet another hashtag... this latest one was established due to her passing, and the fact that taught us all how to really live life.

She was never bitter and never complained. She lived every moment educating, loving and supporting others before she departed this earth. Her name will be mentioned in many rooms to come, her impact will still change lives and help other survivors and her story will always be shared because ... #JessDidIt🩷.
